You should always close orders that you don't intend to be filled. Though this situation doesn't happen every day, it is better to be safe than sorry. However, in my humble opinion you will not be sorry. The other variable is how quickly you get your info. If you are not real time trading you may have never known about the 6ish price until it was too late. Good luck Howard!
