Barry - Re: "MD K-6 3D was all over CeBit, I am told,"

Tke K6-3D was not shown publicly by AMD at CeBIT.

It was only demoed in a private room by AMD.

It was also demoed at the November, 1997 COMDEX show in Las Vegas.

When the K6-3D is released, Intel will have the Katmai not too far behind to compete.

Remember - the Celeron is a product aimed at $800 - $1000 PCs.

If it sells, great.

If not - it will be a failure.

At least let it get out in the market before you declare it dead.

By the way, in 1981 didn't a few people laugh their butts off when a VERY large company from New York and Boca Raton introduced a dumb-downed PC with a sawed-off 16 bit CPU with only an 8 bit bus, called an 8088?

I think that company sold more than a few of these machines.
