Warning: This is really off topic
O.K.,... I *really wasn't going to say anything, but since you brought it up...<g> Tonight on the way home my niece ( 12 years old) was talking about her history class, and I asked her if they ever talked about the president. She gave me an earful... so apparently 7th graders are very clued in to all this. Anyway, Jonathon (my 8 year old 2nd grader) chims in with how we've got a bad president. I asked why... direct quote "Because he sexed a bunch of women" Well, I'm not going there at all... so I asked him how he knew, and he said he reads it all the time, and it was on t.v. I asked him if anybody else in his class knew, and he said they were talking about it one day, and the teacher said they need to talk to their parents about it... which is probably why he brought it up the first time. I'm having a hard time answering him.
Sidenote... I got several letters from people who were dealing with the same issue, with very young children, so I guess I'm not the only parent dealing with this. You certainly don't want to minimize the seriousness of any alledged offense, but good grief, children deserve to keep their ideals for as long as possible. O.K. soapbox over. sorry for the thread drift.
