Thanks for the welcome Phil - Jobs could affect AAPL's 4/22/98 price

Jobs may mute AAPL's 4/15/98 earnings announcement IF a share spike could disrupt HIS 4/22/98 Proxy . The Feb insider sale at $25/shr may have been inspired by Jobs to slow run-away stock appreciation .

Jobs wants the 10 year Proxy plan ratified FIRST to assure compensation as "interim CEO" , as a director and again as COB .

Why 17 mln shares for CEO , COB , COO and other zecks ? A mystery , but omitting it in AAPL's 12/5/97 Proxy may have resulted in Power being convinced AAPL was worth $23/shr for their accepting a $19.25/shr buyout .

It listed ONLY the Director's options at $23/shr suggesting Jobs would take ONLY 30,000 shares for compensation . Hence Power's 1/26/98 buyout by Jobs was less dilutive and saved AAPL $25 mln CASH .

If AAPL's 4/15/98 earnings are OVERLY impressive we may see AAPL's CFO damper it with a bleak forecast for 3Q etc and 4/22/98 may be toned down . Got to get that Proxy ratified and $28-30/shr won't stop it!

AAPL's 5/11/98 WWDC will spark the stock into the $30s in expectation of a improving 1998 . Here's a site to check AAPL's CEO comp:

All IMHO but stay long AAPL,
Regards,
Jim K.
