By the way, I think that GNT is releasing earnings sometime next week (perhaps after the close on Friday). IMHO, whether they make their numbers, and what happens with the level of their reserves, will be pivotal in determining the Street's reaction to this deal. IBES says earnings will be released 4/17 with a mean EPS estimate of $0.47 (vs. $0.65 last year). Has anyone spoken with the company about a specific date. I hope it is before the 17th, since that is also the day April options expire. I won't mind picking up some cheap April puts if they release before week's end.
