I'd like to meet your weaver.

If he has found a way to weave Zoltek's 50K carbon fiber, he is unique in the industry as a loom does not exist which can weave 50K. Weavers use 3K, 6K and sometimes 12K (12,000 filaments) carbon fiber for fabrics. Zoltek does not have a product smaller than 50K. The worldwide carbon fiber shortage is in the small tow products not 50K. Akzo and Zoltek are the only large tow suppliers and they address the "new" market of industrial/recreational products.

If I were to even think about investing in ZOLT, I would study their anticipated growth very carefully. Note that almost all of their earnings growth over the last year is in acrylic fiber sales from their Hungarian factory - not additional carbon sales. ZOLT must invest in new facilities prior to increasing carbon sales.

Also, note that the financials coming from Hungary have not undergone an audit yet (they will at year end) - don't be surprised if they take a charge at some point for the Hungarian books.

To others: Be very careful. Do your own homework.
To Robert: Your weaver lied (or did you?).
