I have been in this business 30 years. Mr. Dell comments yesterday remind me of another comments made about 15 years ago by another VIP in computer business. As some of you remember, Mr. Olson.CEO of DIGITAL EQUIPMENT at the time and the second largest computer CO. after IBM at the time( Before CPQ, DELL even existed) used to ignore the trend in PC. He used to make fun of PC and mentioned this is a fad and everybody will have a PC in her or his closet collecting dust. His policy almost destroyed DEC. Stock before split came down from $400.00 per share to $23.00 and now finally sold to CPQ. Ignoring under $1000.00 PC market which is today 50% of the market remind me of Mr. Olson remarks. PR and Ad can do so much for you for sometimes but eventually one has to face the reality.
