Podigy Licenses Advanced Lycos Navigation Tools For Prodigy

Prodigy Internet to offer Lycos' search-engine technology for subscribers to navigate the web and
Prodigy content

Prodigy Services Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Prodigy Inc. today announced an
agreement with Lycos (NASDAQ:LCOS), the Internet search and exploration company, to
provide advanced search functionality for Prodigy Internet (PI).

As a result of the agreement, Prodigy Internet will offer its subscribers access to Lycos' Pursuit
search engine, Point Reviews, spider technology, and rich database of tens of millions of URLs.

Lycos' search functionality will be incorporated throughout Prodigy Internet, allowing subscribers
to perform simultaneous key-word searches of both the Internet and PI content on any topic. As
an example, a PI subscriber searching for information about "The New York Yankees" would be
presented with a list of choices about the World champions from the Internet and Prodigy Internet.

"Ease of use is the number one design goal of Prodigy Internet, which makes Lycos the perfect
