***off topic** Compaq will be in competition with IBM, yes I think so too. And look at the miserable time IBM share holders had for many many years. Probably could put the money to better use in a about to split something or other. The problem is the share price is so low now one share would translate to a tiny bit of one of the doing well co's shares.
