Regards "general consensus" of gold: as mention by "another" try kitco.com Need to work you way to the "general analysis of gold and investment" section. There you will find a wide range of opinions re: gold. Also the SI gold thread has all the consensus one can ask for. :) I guess the real answer is that when speaking of gold: "there ain't no general consensus". Best I can do at this time.
