Referring to the "Doctor Heal Thyself" review in MacAddict ?
Dr Gil's comments may motivate Senor Jobs to settle for just getting the Proxy ratified 4/22/98 .
" ... I (Reviewer) came away from the book with a measure of affection for the guy (Amelio). For a millionaire, he seems like a good egg. But ... about nice guys finishing last... "
Reviewer describing Dr. Gil now , and after Dr. Gil 1st described Senor Jobs as :
" Steve Jobs stalking in "rather like a boxer, aggressive and elusively graceful, or like an elegant jungle cat ready to spring at its prey,"
A NeXT round knock out of Gil by El Pugilisto , but Dr. Gil looks back on Jobs' motivation to reacquire AAPL with : " .... a curious mixture of awe, affection, hurt and pity .
He (Amelio) paints Jobs as a schizoid genius with an unhealthy revenge fixation, and muses that "perhaps returning to control at Apple will finally melt the ice cube in his heart that has caused him so much pain since 1985. "
El Pugilisto is covered by the Proxy now as "interim CEO" , a director , and a COB, then has 10 more years to prepare a better shareholder case to warrant the big kill .
