Bearded one, I do not know the actual PSR of the Nikkei when it hit 40,000, the PE was 80, and I would surmise that since Corporate Japan was always after sales rather than profits during that period of "market share at any cost" that their margins were much thinner than S&P and thus their PSR might have been comparable. Maybe the comparison should be to their then GDP and ours now.
