Bonnie: re Silly Valley.

Hard to connect the problems of the valley to the rest of the country. It's like a spaceship in the cosmos there -- it's own little world.

A few other high tech meccas are experiencing a fraction of the same effect, but as for the remainder of the country? Real Estate prices have been helped by near historic low rates, but not by speculation.

If there was much inflation at all, the bond bloodhounds and the gold bugs would sniff it out well in advance of the Washington Post headlines.
