Wrig, thanks for posting the analyst's recs. Fwiw, I've been involved in more than a few of these "someone must know something" situations. In one case that stands out painfully in my memory, someone actually did (but not me, ouch!). On the other hand, as you point out, ESV is widely followed, their market is widely followed, and the factors that affect their bottom line are fairly public. Also, ESV is not alone in this sector in being down going into what we all here expect to be strong earnings - just look at GLM. As to listening to the tape, on Wed. Lockheed-Martin (LMT) was down approx. $4/sh. On Thur. it closed unchanged. After the market closed it was announced that they had won the new $3 billion JASSM contract, beating out their only rival by a wide margin. So much for the smart money being in the know. Sometimes the smart money is simply being cautious (which is probably smart). My advice, buy stock in good companies that you believe in and good things will probably happen. Maybe.-g- Best, John |
