Satan is a Christian invention, Dwight. It is very doubtful that any rebels who do not believe in Christ are at all afraid of Satan.
It is all a lot like voodoo. If you believe in voodoo magic, and someone casts a spell on you and tells you about it, it might give you the heebie-jeebies. But someone--a nice deist, atheist, agnostic, pagan, free thinker, or whoever--who does not believe in Satan will never have a bad experience with him, because he does not exist for them.
So, when you say Satan will eventually have a free reign with them, that is your belief system, but indeed Satan can only hurt you if you believe in him and give him power.
So--sobering truth for you, but I don't think any of us reprobates are at all concerned. He's your guy, not ours!! And you can have him!! |
