I think VVUS is planning to win more Dr. by spending more as indicated in this news. (I hope they do it wisely as they can't afford to spend as much as PFE)

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 9 (Reuters) - Vivus Inc. said
Thursday it plans to spend "aggressively" on sales and
marketing of its impotence treatment products during the rest
of the year.
Vivus reported a net loss of $2.4 million or $0.07 per
share, for the first quarter, compared with net income of $9.6
million, $0.27 per share, for the same period in 1997, the
company said in a statement.
Product revenues for the first quarter were $26.5 million
compared with $27.8 million for the same period in 1997 and
$29.0 million for the fourth quarter of 1997.
The company said increased sales and marketing spending
will be directed at doctors through Vivus' sales force, rather
than through direct consumer advertising.
