STOCK DATA:

Symbol: MPVIF Shares Outstanding: 42,000,000

Recent Price: 3 11/16 Approx. Float : $12-15 million

Mountain Province has already discovered 4 rich diamond deposits (pipes) which are presently being evaluated.

Mountain Province Mining Inc., has acquired a large strategic land position in Canada's NW territories through a joint venture with Monopros Ltd.; wholly owned subsidiary of DeBeers Consolidated Mines.

DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH:

Staking claims are some of the worlds biggest names in mining, DeBeers is one of them. Monopros Canada Limited (DeBeers Consolidated Mines Ltd.) and joint venture partners Mountain Province Mining Inc. (MPV, MPVIF-VSE) are conducting bulk sampling efforts on 4 high grade diamondiferous kimberlite pipes with the mini-bulk sample half completed, new exploration success will drive the share price until the sample results are in.

DRILLING TO BEGIN APRIL 10TH:

According to Dr. Shatzko, Chairman of Mountain Province these are a number of very strong targets which are about to be drilled, with the first to be drilled the weekend of April 10, 1998. Additional discoveries of pipes whose grade (based solely on early microdiamond analysis) falls into this realm can only serve to lower risk and enhance the bluesky potential of the junior partners Mountain Province and Camphor.

THE COMPANY:

In March 1997, Mountain Province Mining Inc.'s joint venture Monopros Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of DeBeers Consolidated Mines Ltd. began developments of the AK/CJ property in Canada's Northwest territories. Having more experience than any other group in the world at discovering kimberlites and diamonds, Monopros becomes the project operator.

THE ASSET:

Monopros Limited and DeBeers Consolidated Mines Ltd. believe that there are at least four and possibly as many as eight new kimberlite bodies in the central and eastern parts of the AK/CJ claim blocks. The 104-tonne mini-bulk sample from the AK-5034 pipe was completed. The results indicated an average grade of 2.48 carats per tonne. Monopros arrived at an initial value of between $55 and $60 per tonne. The 5034 pipe is calculated to contain approximately 20 million tonnes of kimberlite; ranking it well among the world diamond pipes. In May 1997 Monopros announced its first significant exploration success, Telsa. While intersecting 51.5 metres of continuous kimberlite only 1.8 kilometers northwest of the AK-5035 pipe Telsa was determined to be diamondiferous with the recovery of 109 microdiamonds from 66 kg of kimberlite.
