TO ALL, please read this post and comment. I am strictly an amateur investor and would appreciate any constructive opinions. My topic of discussion is "WHAT SECTOR IS IOM IN?" Let me preface my comments by explaining I am trying out my one free month subscription and certainly don't have the stock market knowledge of many who frequently post . I would be considered "Joe six-pack" by most.

Last fall I remember reading many concerned posts on this thread when the disk drive sector had down days. They couldn't understand why IOM was down with the DD sector. It would seem to me that IOM would definitely be effected by the events that control this sector. Their has been very little recovery in DD as I also own HUTH and SEG. They fell last fall and have bounced a bit but don't appear to be ready to make any substantial upward movement until the glut of PCs have been sold. When you combine some of what would appear to be poor business decisions ( stock split and $100 million in additional marketing) with the plummet of DD stocks it would appear IOM is no whose off than many other companies that will see their bottom line improve when some of the factors effecting these stocks take a positive turn. If IOM is not part of the DD sector then what sector are they in?

One final comment. It seems to me that this thread has become a means for a few to draw attention to themselves and care little about IOM as a company or as an investment.
