Jonathan, The price war is only going on in the low priced arena (where DELL has chosen not to play). We will have to wait and see if it extends to the high end server market (where DELL expects to be a leader). I think Dell will enter the low end market when it becomes profitable to do so. Like you say "A ridiculously small fraction of the world's total population has access to a computer." The rule of supply and demand will drive the prices up as market growth increases and DELL has driven the competition away by beating them in the high end market. JMHO Phil
