MEG Morsel Alert Donald Sheldon gave a polished speech on Thurs. afternoon. Included in his talk were a few tidbits of information that Ashton has been more reticent in discussing. One such morsel follows. The .76ct yellow diamond, discovered in K-6, is described by DS as a 'pure, flawless yellow', and 'worth about $11,000.00.' The day before, John Auston reported that the yellow stone measured 6.8mm across. JA also said that the outcropping K-6 had been being used as a chopper landing-pad for a number of years! --The kimberlite(s) has survived glacial erosion and 'outcrops' due to the "poorly lithofied surrounding sediments, and forms as a pinnacle" (a topographic structure).
