<<"If you watch CNBC, you'll get rich." Just listen to the commercial for the retirement special on Friday: the guy says something like, "If I watch CNBC's retirement program then I can retire early." >>
Greta Mc: I've read through many of the posts on this thread and find that most contributors are negative to CNBC's content, hosts, and programming. I think they do a great job. Outlined below are just a few of my observations: A. Beginning with the retirement program, it was geared to those who are approaching retirement and probably don't have access to CNBC daily. It was well done, and if nothing else, got people thinking. From my perspective, their recommendations were geared at a beginner level. However, the investment success I've experienced over the years, is partially due to the CNBC programming. Additionally, CNBC is an excellent forum for high school and college students interested in investing. B. Their commentators are informed and well spoken. They make it easy to understand the market. Their guest are informative and interesting. CNBC has a unique way of delivering their programming so that anyone is able to both learn and understand. C. CNBC's tape is clear, reliable, and provides me with information I need to trade profitably. D. Before and after hours market commentary is excellent. Certainly better than CNN's and on par with PBS. E. Their guest are diverse. Some I agree with, and some I don't, but I do receive all points of view.
In summary, I'm at a loss to understand why people on this thread spend so much time demeaning the network and their staff. It appears they lost their investment in the market and have nothing better to do. Disney and TNT Classic channels might prove to be more nteresting.
