Byron, A little late but I dont follow this thread closely. I have some questions on your post. I ask you here because I can find none of these answers at the Digitcom web site.

2) You state they support H.323 for voice and G.729.

Do they support any of the H.323 video codecs eg H.261 or H.263.

Do they support the H.225 call control layer.

3) are the 1296 ports achieved bystacking units or are the 1296 in the original chassis?

5) What is the rational for the hugely different compression ratios on NT and UNIX and how will the recieving end of a call determine which of the compression ratios was used by the originator?
