Neil, the more I think about it, the more important I think this is. It basically allows hot "mirroring". This provides the kind of redundancy that is necessary for enterprise computing. Right now, RAID is the answer to the problem, but hot mirroring solves a host of other issues like off-site data storage, etc.

Until you have gotten the call at 2am that one of your mission critical systems is down, one cannot fully appreciate the importance of this concept. Even in your standard LAN applications, where you have 400-500 users dependent upon a system, downtime during normal business hours is still unacceptable.
