SXI has become a profitable organization and has demonstrated that it has a good business plan over all. I don't know much about the China deal but the software is doing very well as are the Canadian hydro operations which have become a reliable source of income to finance new business ventures. At one time SXI was a take-over target of KHD which was an unfriendly effort on their part this also involved a group of dissident share holders. The way KHD handled the affair left me wondering about their ethical principles and I would not put put my money into such an organization if I were you. Currently the majority share holder is Greyvest Capital listed on the TSE. That trouble is all long behind us now and SXI actually represents an excellent value in terms of price to earnings in the same industry. I think management realizes that software and power production are quite different kinds of business, and the last I talked with Alan Stephens they were considering a relationship with another software group possibly a merger or some kind of equity carve out eventually. I am not sure what is happening with the New World Power deal and intend to find out more soon.
