Interesting that you should say that Programs foul up my trading.

In reality it's the other way around, when they don't show it fouls me up somewhat.

I trade very short term, normally, and count on anticipating programs to capitalize on quick moves.

In other words, if I can "guess" there will be a program at such and such a point and it should be a sell, I get short and get out, usually within 15 minutes, and I can quit for the day.

Hypothetical situation. Everything seems to point to a sell program coming down the pike. Sell 8 S&P contracts. The S&Ps drop 2 points and I cover 4 for $2,000 profit. The sell program fades, the market bounces and I get crushed on the other 4 for a thousand dollar loss.

It's off to the golf course. So the programs are what I look for. I don't care where the market is trending.
