Dear Christine,
The original question was if James was a God man. I understood that to ask if he was God like his brother Jesus. According to scripture Mary was pregnant before the marriage to Joseph by the Holy Spirit and was a virgin. The angel Gabriel told Joseph not to be with her until the child was born. Obviously they continued to have a healthy marriage after the birth of Jesus and probably had many children (it does not specify the number of half sisters).So His half brother James was not Deity like his half brother. James did however receive the Holy Spirit from his brother. There are some that swear that Mary was a virgin all her life that she was too Holy to sleep with her husband. Who created sex?
