Threaders, Is the US buying up Japan? The following article was very interesting to me regarding the US firms buying up Japanese properties for $.10 on the $1.00 and the Japanese crime syndicate:

usnews.com

I have always felt that the dollar flows to where it can get the best deal/low cost. Looks like this is what is happening in Japan. However, the Yakuza (syndicate) are tied to 40% of Japan's bad loans.

The winner again looks like US firms but with risk.

What are you thoughts? Will US companies gain a foothold in Japan , the second largest economy in the world? What impact will this have on AMAT if any?

Just my opinion.
