Thanks for pointing out the technical difficulties that AMD would have to overcome even IF they decided to clone the Slot 1 interface.

I guess a good measure of their progress will come in October - to see if they have working samples of the Slot A K7.

That's only 6 months away - and Jerry promised us all!

I just noticed that Slot A K7 is almost like Slot AK47 - I'll bet our little buddy Poor Albert of the $35 AMD shares likes that one!
