This is very interesting.
We use bar soap.Which is odd, because I feel the same way you do. New bars are too big for my hands-they shoot away and ricochet off the walls and I spend the whole shower chasing them around. And being my mother's daughter, I insist that a bar be used down to the point that it breaks into little pieces and finally goes down the drain before I break out a new one. It's hard to get a good lather from a soap sliver the size of a toothpick.

I like Zest because my roommate used it in college and I thought she smelled really clean (zestfully clean) when she came back from the shower. My mother sent me Dial. It didn't smell as good. I have never used it since. Dan prefers Irish Spring so we alternate. We have two stacks in the closet and we are honorbound not to cheat when we open a new bar.
Liquid soap doesn't make me feel as clean.

I had a fight with a neighbor once. She takes baths every day. She claims she gets cleaner soaking in the water. I said I got cleaner in the shower because I rinsed off all the dirty water and she was all coated with a sticky residue. Things were never the same between us after that.
