ValuJet Introduces Everyday Low Fare Structure; Launches $19 'Me, Too!' Companion Fare
ATLANTA, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- ValuJet Airlines today announced the
introduction of its permanent "ValuFares" fare structure with one-way prices
starting as low as $29. The Company has reduced its 21-day advance purchase
fares by $10, and added 14-day and two-day advance purchase options, giving
travelers even more opportunities to take advantage of affordable air travel.
As an added feature to its fare structure, ValuJet will offer a $19 one-way
"Me, Too!" companion fare in conjunction with the carrier's new two-day
advance purchase fare.
ValuJet returned to service on Sept. 30, 1996, offering special
introductory fares for travel completed by Oct. 31, 1996. The carrier now
offers 102 peak daily departures to 17 cities with a fleet of 15 aircraft.
ValuJet's fares provide maximum consumer convenience and flexibility by
never requiring a round-trip purchase or a Saturday night stay.

of sales and marketing. "By offering even lower fares as part of our
permanent fare structure, we are making air travel even more affordable for a
broader group of customers."
The $19 "Me, Too!" fare is available on all one-way flights, including
those involving a connection. "ValuJet's 'Me, Too!' fare provides exceptional
savings, particularly when reservations are made within two weeks of
departure," said Harrison. For example, two people traveling between Atlanta
and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. can save as much as $160 round trip compared to the
regular peak seven-day advance purchase fare.
"By offering the companion fare level at $19 one-way for connecting
flights through Atlanta as well, the savings are even greater. For instance,
two customers traveling from Philadelphia to Orlando will save as much as
$220 round trip or 40 percent as compared to two regular peak seven-day
advance purchase fares for the same trip," Harrison added.
To qualify for the "Me, Too!" fare, reservations must be made at the same
time and travel must be on the same itinerary. When one customer purchases
ValuJet's regular two-day advance purchase fare, the other can buy the
$19 "Me, Too!" fare. While a two-day advance purchase is required, "Me, Too!"
fares can be purchased in advance, pending availability. Customers making
reservations at least 21 days in advance may find two regular "ValuFares" are
more attractive than a "Me, Too!" Fare/two-day fare combination. In these
cases, ValuJet's reservations agents will provide the lowest fare available.
"Me, Too!" fares are subject to availability and are most easily obtained for
travel Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
