...pestering a salesperson...

That's funny, because I was just in there
pestering a salesperson at that store with
questions about sales and inventory. Maybe
it was you.

Guilty as charged. I remember you.

I noticed a lot of boxes for 6500s around, so
I asked how many there were left. He looked it
up in the computer and came back with: "six."
So I guess those boxes were empty.

Sorry. I may have misunderstood. As I recall, we were discussing the 6500/300. We've got a pretty good selection of the 6500 series in general, but about 6 of the 300MHz 603e's specifically.

Though I'm sure the store was tiny compared with
most, I was impressed with it, and his knowledge.
He even knew what MacMAME is--Mac Multiple Arcade
Machine Emulator.

For those of you between the ages of 30 and 45 who haven't heard of this, check out <www.emulation.net>. All those quarters you misspent springboarding the videogame industry back in the 80's have paid off (in a manner of speaking - it's a free download).

If it was you Ian, hello, and thanks for being
so helpful.

You're welcome rhet0ric. I think my role there is pretty important, even if it's just weekends. For example, I spent an hour last night after closing taking literally dozens of hybrid (Mac/PC) software titles out of the PC sections, and placing them in the Mac software racks. There are so many titles now that the floor manager (Steve Boykins) is considering expanding the Mac software department.
