I don't know whether someone other than Ancor has such a device in the works, but due to the delay in bringing it to market, I consider it likely.

Sure, Fibre Channel is for storage NOW, but it wasn't that way a year or so ago. We were all saying how Fibre Channel had a legitimate shot at going all the way to the desktop, instead of ATM, or Gigabit Ethernet. That isn't going to happen, except in high-performance workgroup applications.
