hi richard,

my approach towards TA is using my indicators. even though trendlines and triangles are an important component in TA, i have felt that they bring up more subjectivity (which will lead to emotional involvement).

intraday triangles -- im not familiar since i dont trade intraday too often..

but i think if you have a good feel for the use of ascending triangles -- then yes, use them! use them to your advantage. what might not work for me, might work magic for you <g>
