Here's The Tennessee Investors (615 254 0992) April issue rundown on SME:
"We picked Service because we thought that the new systems that were placed into service in 1997 would show up in the form of increased sales in the December Christmas numbers. However that was not the case as SME reported below average sales and earnings in their big Q4. We currently rate the stock a sell because the next three quarters will be negative earnings quarters and the tax loss selling will dominate the 4Q. Bottom fishers should not buy until December at the earliest"

I got out of SME several months ago but I'm still watching for a new entry point but I think it might be awhile.
