Well, I'm not so sure. I used to be an avid Iomega fan using initially using a parallel zip and then changing to an IDE internal zip. Well after about 6 months, this weekend I got the "click of death" and my drive was toast. Urgently needing to backup stuff, I went to the local "computer city" in search of an upgrade. Now since I only use this for backup and not exchanging data with other users etc. what would you do? Spend $149 for a 100mb zip or $199 for a 1GB sparq. For me the choice was simple: I went for the IDE internal sparq. Installed in 5 minutes and works flawlessly. I sold IOM months ago when it became apparent to me there will never be a standard and who needs 100mb zips when a new cheaper larger capacity product by any number of competitors may lurk down the road.
