There are a couple of interesting sites that have to do with the housing industry:

builder.hw.net

This site has all kinds of statistical information about housing starts and basically business is booming . . . as if we didn't already know that! There is a lag between an interest rate increase and housing start decrease. If you look at some of last year's data (1997) you can see the cause-effect relationship. It will vary in how quickly a housing start adjustment takes and that depends on many other factors . . . consumer confidence in the economy, consumer debt, unemployment, etc., etc.

It looks like things are going to continue to move along as the Fed. is not projected to raise rates anytime real soon. Luxor is in the right place at the right time and if they market aggressively, they will help the builders right now to increase profits. Then if times turn down a bit, perhaps others will follow. That all depends on the severity of any economic downturn or belt-tightening by the Fed. on interest rates. Lots of variables here!

Here is the second link:

builderonline.com

It is an on-line builder's publication that has lots of products and sponsors and all kinds of other building-related information. Luxor and their product are not listed, but maybe they will be soon?!? I don't know enough about this on-line source to know how widely used it is but there is a ton of product information here for the building industry along with some "heavyweight" sponsors. It's kind of interesting to just look around when you have a few minutes.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming weeks and months! Holding this stock long term while it is building momentum is the key for this company!
