NC is not a waste of time, People need to look at NC in terms of the
power from the network, not just the NC itself. How much power can the
fastest PC give its user and how much power can a network give ?
How many software applications can a single PC host with 2 GB diskspace? 4? 5? 6? 10? 20? In a scalable network, it can host handreds of applications and provide access to dozens of NC in parallel.

1) The cost of PC is not just the hardware(memory, disk, cdrom).
PC software upgrades and maintenance cost most and much more than NC.

2) NC will boost oracle server sale. I can see oracle is going to have some kind of JavaApplet or internet application Server to support NC.

3) Oracle will keep MSFT off the database server market by shifting
focus on database and network application server with NC.
