The benefit of the contest is that you have someone verifying if what you say about your trading abilities is true...How do I know if Cooper or Connors are legitimate in the profits they take home? It needs to be substantiated...And a contest does that by providing an outside agency as one who monitors your trades... I agree with you that hopping on board fast moving internet stocks is not what many would do with their portfolios...And yet the shrewd trader can make quick profits here if he knows what he is doing... Further, a contest is not a true gage of trading skill...I buy a 100,000 shares of a 2.00 stock and DON'T move the stock with my entry...Come on, Mark...You wouldn't get all those shares at that price if you were using real money...Thanks Lizard for all your comments, you have a great thread here, and I enjoy reading your posts.....Regards, Mark P.S.
