jwk,

It has been generally misunderstood that aircraft would fall from the skies on Jan 1st, 2000. Those with common sense realize that the FAA will not certify any plane as airworthy until all systems are checked and tested which would be a tremendous difficulty, especially with Airbus models which are now "fly-by-wire" (digital controls). Boeing 777's as well??

But since the FAA will also have to certify that their air-traffic control system is compliant and tested, I have a feeling there will be plenty of time during the first couple of months to deal with individual aircraft. (Just a SWAG on my part... :0)

Nice move in TAVA this morning. Kinda figured we would get at least a point or so out of that article.

I wonder why Patrick didn't volunteer that he had covered 60% of his short position last week... <VBG> Of course, none of us would be able to prove that anyway, but it is nice to see the shorts feel a little pain. Pain like they inflicted on us last week.

Are we having fun yet?? <wink>

Regards,

Ron
