Whoever arranged that story did a pretty good job. They need to keep using that person.

The consultant quoted, Barry Young, is the guy I met with in Austin two weeks ago.

Recently, the most exposure TFS has enjoyed is on this thread, and not always accurate or favorable.

Ultimately, the display will be in the "cellphone", and not in a cradle (cradle as demoed by three or four hopefuls, including Kopin). No cylindrical, monocular lens will be needed to peep through (as demoed by Displaytech, I think).

But, to get the display into the handset requires a small form factor for the display.....size being limited by the optics portion. First to market with a virtual display fitting within the form factor of the cellphone....gets the first-to-market share among the 15% adopting high information content phones (about 35M phones in Y2K....per estimates which appear quite high, to me). My large bet is...that is us.

The future is a little clearer than it was last week.
