STRATFORD, Conn., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- DCI Telecommunications, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DCTC), an international supplier of telecommunications services, announced today that its CyberFax subsidiary has begun sending live commercial traffic over its global real-time Internet fax network. CyberFax's real-time Internet fax service is now being utilized by Elephant Talk of Hong Kong and International Telephone Company (ITC) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In addition to these two companies, a number of previously announced partnerships will begin to be brought on-line over the next 30 days which will result in continued growth of international fax traffic revenues over the CyberFax global network. CyberFax will begin to contribute significant revenues to DCI in coming months, as initial operating problems have been resolved. It is anticipated that CyberFax will add as much as $7 million in profitable revenues over the coming 12 month period. These initial partnerships are the first step in CyberFax's initiative to establish points of presence (POPs) in the top 25 traffic producing countries. With pending agreements in several other key markets worldwide, CyberFax is well positioned to capture a significant portion of the real-time Internet fax market in 1998. Paul Callihoo, CyberFax's vice president, sales and marketing said, "Each of these partners offer access to markets that are key to the strategic deployment of CyberFax's network and it is anticipated that existing installations will be expanded shortly to accommodate the increased traffic volumes as the service continues to roll out. CyberFax will also be tied into DCI's burgeoning European telecommunications network which will allow DCI customers to access CyberFax and send low cost, real-time faxes over the Internet from anywhere in Europe to anywhere in the world." By offering the first reliable real-time Internet fax service, CyberFax has established itself as the market leader of this low cost alternative for international fax, which results in significant cost savings to the end customer by exploiting the inherent advantages offered by Internet technology. DCI Telecommunications is an international supplier of telephone services, including long distance service, prepaid telephone cards and Internet products. Recently, DCI announced letters of intent to acquire three telecommunications companies. These acquisitions are expected to push DCI's revenues to $50 million. The company has an extensive distribution network throughout North America, Europe and the Far East and owns telephone switching facilities in Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain and Denmark. The company recently reported sales of $6.2 million and $1.3 million in profit (13 cents per share), for the first nine months of fiscal 1998, and has 12 operating facilities, serving customers in eight countries.
