Dan: Fidelity Investments will allow you to own Gold Bullion in your IRA.... Having some gold coins may not be a bad idea in an end of the world scenario, which I don't think will happen... Stocking up on food may not be a bad idea... Possibly a three month supply, to see what happens immediately after 1/1/2000... Having food will at least keep us alive... : > Jim
