I don't think BORL spiked down to $5 based on the marketing genius that came up with Open JBuiler for the name of the product but it certainly doesn't help. I think the coffee related names are a bit overdone but Java++ from Microsoft is kinda catchy. I think you're going to see a lot of developers stick with Microsoft provided they integrate Java++ with their existing development environment which should happen fairly quickly. The support structure around MS tools really is unparalleled and the IDE is certainly well respected. The other thing to consider is that from an investment standpoint there isn't a wholelotta dough in developer's tools. Thoughts?
