I personally hold 600 warrants at 2 11/16. Also added a few at $5.25 to make matters interesting. If I were to convert the 600 I say the true value is 8 15/16. I now look at how the common is trading via the market. If 8 15/16 is below the current common price I consider it a great deal. However if 8 15/16 is higher than the current common price then in the short term I am operating at a loss if I were to convert.

I personally would treat your 1k shares (only if intended to convert)
as common bought at $9 to keep the math simple. Keep in mind the cost to convert is the "6.25 X 1k". That is what get people in trouble if they cannot sell the warrants within the window ifly dictates.
