It cannot operate intraday via chartscanner, and I did not suggest that it could. What I said, is that one can set up TS to monitor things such as RATE OF CHANGE of volume, which is what one might want to "scan" for. Additionally, one MUST set up the universe of stocks into the portfolio, AND have a separate chart running for each one.

I no longer use TS intraday, but may consider it when their new version comes out in a couple of months. Further, it MAY provide "scanning" as you suggest.

For now, I understand that Internet Trader is a pretty decent product for this type of activity.
