agreed. this comes as a real shock. my read given comments from GTE managements recently was that the ILEC would not be deploying in bulk during 1998. of course, what telechoice reported is in direct conflict with that. this deployment makes very little sense when you consider that all GTE business units have committed to WSTL, with the rather notable exception of the ILEC. this has turned a confusing situation into a very odd one.

is fujitsu is working with WSTL as well, and the GTE ILEC contract is not exclusive, so WSTL may be getting a piece of it. or WSTL may be buying ORCTF. does anyone have any news?
