Margin Interest cannot be included in a Schedule D. If you do not itemize interest paid on a Schedule A because you take the Standard Deduction, you cannot deduct the margin interest.

On the other hand, accrued interest included in the price of a bond can be included on Schedule D.

When is Cymer going to act like my CMGI ? CMG Info Services was up 10% on Friday and another 21% today.
