Intergraph says wins court order vs Intel

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 13 (Reuters) - Intergraph Corp. said on Monday that it won a
preliminary injunction against Intel Corp. (INTC - news) as part of its federal lawsuit
accusing the giant computer-chip maker of anticompetitive behavior, patent infringement and
antitrust violations.

Intergraph said in a news release that a U.S. federal district court in Alabama on Friday
prohibited Intel ''from terminating Intergraph's rights as a 'strategic customer in current and
future programs,' or from otherwise taking any action adversely affecting Intel's business
relationship with Intergraph ... ''

Intel officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

Intergraph, which makes Windows NT-based workstation hardware and software, said its
suit accuses Intel of trying to coerce Intergraph into giving up certain key patent rights.[on MMU design. INGR claimed INTC copied INGR's MMU design & protocol].

The lawsuit was filed on November 17. Intergraph in January said the legal dispute with Intel
had hurt its fourth-quarter operating profits.
