Projectavision Announces First Quarter Sales NEW YORK, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Projectavision, Inc. (Nasdaq: PJTV) announced today that its first calendar quarter 1998 sales of its Digital Home Theater(TM) product were $423,000. A spokesman for the company said that Projectavision is preparing the introduction of its international version of the Digital Home Theater. The new model, useable in Europe and Asia, will feature PAL, SECAM and NTSC standards as well as dual 110/220 voltage selection. As reported in its March 5th press release, Projectavision is continuing its acquisition of Vidikron lndustries/Vidikron of America. A spokesman for the company reported that the acquisition was well under way and that Vidikron sales were well ahead of 1997. Projectavision is a New York-based company in the business of developing and marketing technological innovations in the electronics display and information industries. Projectavision has developed patented and patent pending technologies for interchangeable front and rear screen Home Theater Television systems. Projectavision's product, the Digital Home Theater, which is the result of a joint development effort between Projectavision and Texas Instruments in an alliance. The Digital Home Theater has recently been introduced to select distributors in the USA. The picture quality, which is 100% digital, is considered to be exceptional. The product is used as either a 60-inch rear screen or up to 20 feet front projection television and computer display.
