I have been opposing this idea since the beginning since the purpose of the system has been to reward the better ideas not to punish losers. In my opinion not being rewarded is a punishment itself. On top of all I think a succession of a few weeks of heavy loses may make a person cool off from competition as well.

Anyway, these were my reasons behind the points system. It certainly is open to remarks and change. My vote is to keep it as it is.
